To paraphrase the late, great Mike Tyson: New York, we're comin' for you! Our style is impetuous! Our defense is impregnable! There's no one that can match us! We want your HEART, we wanna eat your CHILDREN! Although, actually, if the Mets keep balking in the winning run like they did tonight, maybe we can step off the gas a little.
Two other columns worth pointing out: Last night's game gave us a green number in "DIFF" for the first time all season, and our current six-game win streak is the best in baseball (...other than the Phillies' seven-game streak). Zimmerman's back, Morse, Espinosa and Nix are all on hot streaks, and the starters have been lights out. I'm not saying I'm reserving my playoff tickets yet, but am I going to let myself get my hopes up for the Wild Card in a weak year in the NL? You bet!

"If this gig doesn't work out, I'm going right back to being the lead singer of Puddle of Mudd. 'I LIKE THE WAY YOU SMACK MAH ASSSSSSSSSS!!!!'"
